She is an Invited Auxiliary Professor of Rheumatology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon, in the Academic Medical Center. Between 2013 and 2015, she worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, UK, focusing on vasculitis. She participated in several research projects in the area, with emphasis on the development of classification criteria for primary vasculitis and the use of ultrasound in the assessment of large vessel vasculitis
